  2. Follow the Spirit of the Rules: Don't try to find loopholes or work around the intent of these guidelines.
  3. Respect Everyone: Treat all community members with courtesy. Bigotry, hate speech (including racism and homophobia), and discrimination are strictly prohibited. Handle minor disagreements maturely. Report persistent or severe abuse to staff.
  4. English main language: Please only speak English when interacting with players you do not know, unless you have consent to speak a different language.
  5. Avoid Drama: Don't create or worsen conflicts/drama that could harm the community environment on any Narcos Life community outside of roleplay.
  6. No Explicit Roleplay/ERP: Sexual assault, erotic roleplay (ERP), or any other sexual roleplay is strictly forbidden.
  7. No Outside Promotion: Do not advertise other communities, Discord servers, or similar platforms on Narcos Life channels or via direct messages to members.
  8. No Real-World Trading: Selling in-game items or services for real money or other outside compensation is completely banned.
  9. Respect Privacy: You can't record or use soundboards of other community members without their explicit permission.
  10. Use a Clear Microphone: Ensure your microphone provides clear audio. If you have significant background noise, use push-to-talk. Don't eat, drink, or vape while your microphone is active.
  11. Don't Evade Bans: Bypassing a ban, by creating a second account for example, is strictly prohibited. If you think your ban was unfair, submit an appeal. If you knowingly help someone evade a ban, you'll receive a permanent ban yourself.
  12. Respect Staff Decisions: Follow the instructions of the staff team at all times. Staff decisions are final; appeals can be submitted via the forums.
  13. Make Legitimate Reports: Only report rule violations truthfully and honestly, and never out of spite. Rule violations must be reported within 48 hours.
  14. Respect Report Confidentiality: Reports between staff and the reporter/reported individual are private and cannot be disclosed.
  15. No Retaliation for Reporting: Factions or gangs cannot punish members for reporting rule violations.
  16. Adhere to Twitch Guidelines: Do not engage in any activity that violates Twitch's Community Guidelines.

Section 2: New Life Guidelines

  1. Situation Restart: Once you respawn, you cannot rejoin the same roleplay situation. You can only return once combat has ended. Being shot at for returning doesn't allow you to re-engage. 15 minutes after respawn unless the situation is clearly still ongoing is how long this rule lasts.
  2. Vehicle Theft After Death: If you kill someone and intend to steal their vehicle, you must do so before they are revived. Otherwise, it's considered a new situation. After stealing a vehicle, drive away from the area; don't use it to taunt or bait the owner.

Section 3: General Server Regulations

  1. No Exploits or Cheats: Do not use bugs, glitches, or any unfair advantages. This includes third party crosshairs, recoil scripts, or lag switching. Report any suspected developer errors to staff immediately.
  2. No Metagaming:  Do not use information your character hasn't learned directly through roleplay. This includes knowledge from other characters, discord chats, stream sniping and second character knowledge.
  3. No Character Transfers: Don't transfer money, items, or property between your characters.
  4. AFK Limits: Do not remain AFK for longer than 15 minutes.
  5. Safe Zones: Areas marked with green checkers on the map are designated safe zones.
  6. No Faction-Specific Gear Trading: Selling or giving away faction-specific or unique equipment/weapons is not allowed. This includes Police Department (PD) weapons, and other faction-specific content. Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) cannot keep guns from arrested civilians.
  7. Avoid Provocative Behavior: Do not troll or bait other players by intentionally trying to anger or irritate them for a reaction.

Section 4: Roleplay Expectations

  1. Immersive Roleplay is Key: Maintaining your character is crucial. Always speak in character.
  2. Use Valid Character Names: Your character must have an appropriate and realistic first and last name that doesn't contain common words.
  3. No Combat Logging: Do not log off to avoid ongoing or imminent roleplay situations, such as being dead, handcuffed, or actively involved in a scenario. When logging off, ensure you're hidden from view.
  4. Soundboard Usage: You may use soundboards in-game if it increases the roleplay or is for the purpose of roleplay, if asked to stop, you must stop.
  5. Do not reference rules in RP: Quoting or referencing rules in roleplay, or saying "I'm going to report you," is considered fail RP. If someone breaks a rule, roleplay it out and report them afterward.
  6. No Robbing Legal Runs: You cannot rob people performing legal runs anywhere, including mines, processors, traders, and related transport. They cannot be robbed for their legal items or transport.
  7. No Cop Baiting: You cannot intentionally harass or bait the cops into a situation or gunfight. You must act as if it’s real life, where you would avoid apprehension.
  8. Do Not Steal Police Cars Without A Valid RP Reason: For example, you can steal a police car to escape in a chase.
  9. No Staff Matters During RP: Do not harass or contact developers/staff about development or administration in game via voice, phone calls, text messages, or other communication. They are trying to play; report issues through proper channels.

Section 5: Engagement Protocols

  1. Initiation: Initiating on someone allows you and them to shoot/kill each other. Valid initiation requires a reasonable demand and a consequence/threat of death or injury. Initiation is shared among those wearing the same uniform/vest, and LEOs.
  2. Initiation Exceptions: The following situations allow you to shoot at someone without initiation doing so creates initiation:
    • You or your group member (wearing the same clothing) has been tazed, zip-tied or handcuffed
    • Your vehicle has been stolen (getting in and driving away)
    • Your vehicle was intentionally rammed by another vehicle.
    • You were intentionally run over by another vehicle.
    • Your vehicle was spike stripped.
    • A civilian has a class 3 within DOC Property (LEO only).
    • A civilian has a class 3 within a Police or DOC Property (LEO only, defined by the Blue Zone that is surrounding).
    • A civilian has landed a helicopter inside DOC Property (LEO only).
  3. Reason to Rob/Engage Civilians: You must have a valid roleplay reason to initiate on or rob civilians (anyone not in rebel/gang clothing). You do NOT need a reason to rob people doing illegal runs.
  4. Response Time: Give victims 8 seconds to comply with your demands unless they clearly change their behavior, such as running, talking on the radio, or reaching for a firearm or break your demand. Continuing their current action is not a change.
  5. Safe Zones: Areas in green on the map are safe zones, you may not initiate on or rob anyone here. If a situation ends up in the safe zone, e.g. during a chase, it is not a safe zone between initiated parties.
  6. Initiation Timeframe: Initiation ends if:
    • 15 minutes pass without shots fired (unless there's an obvious standoff).
    • No living member of the opposite party is within 2km of the situation. (If you re-enter the area, you must re-initiate, but the other party can still shoot you)
  7. Direct Initiation Required: Initiation must be done in person, not over the phone or via text.
  8. Audible Initiation: It is the initiator's responsibility that their initiation is audible. Eg not whispering.
  9. Responsible Initiation: If you declare initiation to your gang/faction and it's invalid, you are responsible.
  10. You must initiate or announce you're going to zip-tie/handcuff someone, unless consent is given or you are police restraining suspects after a situation ends.
  11. Clothing Changes & Initiation: Changing clothes during a situation makes you lose initiation on the other party, though they retain it on you, requiring you to re-initiate.
  12. Redzone Rules: Redzones (red highlighted map areas) are Kill-on-Sight (KOS) and don't require initiation. You must be inside the zone to shoot. You cannot shoot from inside to outside or outside to inside unless someone is actively engaging with the zone (e.g., repeatedly entering/exiting or giving callouts to those inside).
  13. Capture Zones KOS: Capture zones are always KOS, regardless of color.
  14. Redzone Disappearance: If a redzone disappears, normal initiation rules apply if shots have already been fired between parties.
  15. No Forced Transactions: You cannot force someone to withdraw money from their bank, sell their vehicle, or retrieve a vehicle from their garage.
  16. Maximum number of civilians: No more than 10 civilians from your group/gang can be involved in a major crime or be included in initiation.
  17. Do not initiate on, rob, harm, detain, or use violence against someone who is ragdolled from being run over. You cannot harm them until they are standing or 8 seconds have passed.
  18. You must not initiate on or rob LEOs without a valid roleplay reason. Robbing for gear isn't valid.

Section 6: Preservation of Life

  1. Value Your Life: Always value your life as if it were real life. Actively try to avoid death by complying or avoiding dangerous situations, unless it's your only option for survival. (SOPs do not override this rule). The following situations breach valuing of life:
    • Not complying when a weapon is pointed directly at you from a reasonable distance and you don't have a weapon drawn.
    • Not complying while there are multiple guns pointed at you and you are outnumbered.
    • Commencing hostile roleplay where you have low prospects of survival.
    • Jumping off buildings higher than 15m.
    • Jumping out of vehicles at unrealistic speed or height.
    • Intentionally baiting people to run you over, or purposefully trying to be run over.
    • Not realistically fearing for your life when threatened with weapons or severe harm, pulling out your gun/choosing not to value your life when you'll almost certainly die.
  2. Use of Force: You can only kill someone who is complying if the roleplay story naturally leads to it. If you have no further use for them, you must release them.

Section 7: Medical Intervention

  1. Medic Neutrality: Fire Rescue/Medics must remain neutral while performing life-saving duties; they cannot favor any side. If someone commits corruption or illegal acts against a medic, the medic can report it.
  2. Medical Custody:  After being revived, you are in medical custody. You must comply with the medic and roleplay being injured. Act hurt and don't run away or argue with those who incapacitated you. Do not pretend to be AFK to avoid medical roleplay.
  3. Memory Loss: If you're incapacitated, you won't remember all the details clearly about how you were incapacitated or the immediate prior situations. If you bled out and respawn, you remember NOTHING.
  4. No Combat Reviving: Wait until the winning party or medics declare "Code 4". The winning party can declare Code 4 once they are sure no alive members of the opposite party are within 1km. Note that initiation remains valid if Code 4 is called (unless otherwise specified). Once medics arrive and declare the scene Code 4, it is officially over.
  5. Respect for Medics:  Do not prevent medics from doing their job (initiating, robbing/stealing, or harming them in any way). This includes lying to medics by saying a situation is not Code 4.
  6. No Revive Abuse: You cannot revive someone just to rob them or take them hostage.
  7. No Medic Corruption: Fire Rescue/Medics cannot be corrupt or abuse their powers.

Section 8: Law Enforcement Officer Guidelines

  1. No Dual Faction Affiliation: Police cannot hold a faction rank in other communities.
  2. Medical Assistance: Police must call EMS to revive anyone they've incapacitated. Police can attempt to revive a suspect twice. Police cannot allow civilians to perform CPR on the body and must prevent civilian interference at the scene.
  3. All hostages must be treated as real unless credible evidence suggests otherwise.
  4. Hostage Negotiation Protocols: Police cannot enter or drop people off on the roof during hostage negotiations. They must wait 8 seconds after negotiations are called off before breaching or landing on the building. This rule is void for helicopter-only access buildings, but police still cannot enter the building. If criminals uncover police infiltrating the building during non-hostage negotiations, the police can be killed without initiation or waiting and can return fire immediately.
  5. Duty During Majors: Police cannot disconnect when a major crime has started or is ongoing, unless enough police can still respond.
  6. Negotiation Timeline: If negotiations are called off by either party, neither party can shoot for 8 seconds. Calling off negotiations creates initiation. However, if a hostage is killed, police may shoot instantly.
  7. Hostage Killshots: During hostage negotiations (for a player hostage), police may take a kill shot on a hostage-taker without a 10-second wait if they harm the police hostage negotiator. No more hostages can be taken once negotiations are ongoing, even if someone offers themselves. All negotiation avenues must be exhausted before a shot is taken on a hostage-taker. Only SWAT/High Command (HC) can take the shot.
  8. All avenues of negotiations must take place before the shot is taken on a hostage taker, unless exempt by rule 6.8. Only Swat/HC can take the shot.
  9. Impounding Restrictions: Police cannot impound vehicles during active situations.

Section 9: Vehicle Operation

  1. Vehicle as a Weapon: Do not use your vehicle as a weapon against people or other vehicles unless your life is threatened (e.g. they are initiating on you or shooting at you).
  2. Accidental Collisions: If you accidentally have a head-on collision with another vehicle or person outside of initiation, you cannot initiate on them. You must roleplay the collision.
  3. Do not initiate, rob, harm, detain, or use violence against someone who is ragdolled from being run over. You cannot harm them until they are standing or 8 seconds have passed.

Section 10: Major Crime Requirements

  1. Dispatch Communication: When civilians commit a major crime, they must use the emergency/991 app and let the police know the correct number of members involved. You cannot change this number once the crime has started. You must also let them know the firearm class; if you have one or more Class 3 weapons, you must say that.
  2. LEO to Civilian Ratio: Civilians cannot outnumber cops during a major crime. There must be a minimum ratio of 1.5 LEOs to 1 civilian (1.5:1).
  3. Major Crime KOS Zone: A 1km radius around a major crime marker becomes Kill-on-Sight (KOS) between civilians committing the crime and responding to police when the major is marked KOS. Even if the crime zone is in a safe zone.
  4. Externals must be within 2km of the major crime location. If a civilian is not within 2km when the major starts, they cannot act as an external. Being an external means not being inside the major crime building itself. They must still be declared, and cannot become involved after declaration.
  5. No Interference: You cannot interfere with a major crime if you are not involved. This includes police staging to respond to a major crime.
  6. Pre-Restart Restriction: You cannot start a major crime 30 minutes before a server restart.

Section 11: Gang Behavior

  1. Cartel Base Restrictions: When holding a Cartel base, you cannot rob your own respective run.
  2. Cartel Fees: If someone refuses to pay fees, you must give them at least one warning. This must be done in person with a visible threat. You cannot initiate on someone for denying fees just once. If they deny fees again after being warned once within the restart, you may use lethal force without initiation.

Fees Timer: Warnings last for one server restart and do not reset if a gang loses control of the Cartel.
